Annascaul’s entry for the National TidyTowns Competition has now been submitted.
With the competition now taking in so much more than just tidiness and litter control it was quite a task. Fortunately, with so many initiatives in the areas of the environment, sustainability and biodiversity taking place in the village, it was a very substantial submission. We hope the adjudicator will recognise all the hard work and planning the people of Annascaul are putting in.
We have now received back the Annascaul Tidy Towns Long Term Plan, prepared by the group in consultation with Sharon Eastwood, Co-Director of Woodrow Sustainable Solutions. Supported by funding from South Kerry Development Partnership Limited, it sets out an ambitious series of targets and will help to direct activities in the village until 2021. These will be incorporated in the competition entry, and a PDF version of the 48 page report is available here.
